In 2010, during the recession that followed after the housing bubble burst, I founded Spark Design from a desire to help people find creative solutions for beautifying and maximizing use of existing spaces, establish energy efficient homes or offices, and make general architectural improvements while working within a budget.
It’s my belief that when economic and social landscapes change, architecture needs to change too. As an architect, I value personal empowerment, sustainability, and simpler, more collaborative approaches to living that foster a sense of genuine soulfulness, community mindedness, and individuality. I place an emphasis on architectural or design projects being unique, authentic in style and true to the values of you or your community.
What I aspire to be for you is a trusted resource, so that when you face a change in lifestyle or your environment, you think of my assistance. Being there for you when there’s an addition to the family, a need for a work-space that inspires your passion, or the desire to learn your own design language and make your own place is what fuels my passion as an architect and educator.
I invest in the community by donating time to non-profits, teaching at community centers, and tool libraries. I can also be found at community or neighborhood events sharing information and providing resources to home-owners and small businesses.
